Modern Perspective

With plans to make this their long-term home, our clients wanted to honor the character of their classic Colonial home while introducing a mid-century modern perspective through furnishings, materials, and custom details. The result is a home that feels warm, collected, and functional while bringing together two distinct styles.

In the living and family rooms, new furnishings introduce color, texture, and sculptural silhouettes alongside pieces our clients already owned. Original artwork and family heirlooms add a personal layer, while new drapery in the living room softens the expansive windows and complements the home’s connection to the outdoors.

The office was designed to provide an elegant, dedicated workspace without sacrificing everyday function. Fully custom rift white oak cabinetry brings warmth to the room while incorporating an integrated desk and ample concealed storage. Clean slab fronts, rounded details, and minimal hardware introduce a subtle mid-century influence while complementing the home’s existing architecture.

Throughout the home, classic Colonial character and mid-century modern influences come together through warm wood, rich color, tailored furnishings, and personal pieces. The result feels connected to the home’s original architecture while reflecting the way our clients live today.
