2025 High Point Market: How Ducy Design Translates Industry Inspiration Into Luxury Interiors

Each April and October, the design world turns its eyes toward one of the most influential events in the industry: High Point Market. For Ducy Design, attending the High Point Furniture Market isn’t just a chance to admire beautiful showrooms – it’s a vital investment in continued education, trend forecasting, and ultimately, curating extraordinary, deeply personal interiors for our clients.

This spring, Ducy Design’s team traveled to North Carolina for the 2025 event, immersing ourselves in five days of exploration, education, and inspiration.

What Is High Point Market – and Why Does It Matter?

Held twice a year in High Point, North Carolina, the High Point Furniture Market draws over 75,000 designers, buyers, and vendors from across the globe. With more than 11.5 million square feet of showroom space and over 2,000 vendors, it’s a bustling hub of innovation and style.

For us, High Point Market isn’t just a place to shop – it’s where we invest in our growth as luxury interior designers. The event is filled with hands-on learning, exclusive product debuts, and opportunities to connect directly with custom vendors. It’s where we get to sit in the chairs, feel the textures, and see how light plays across materials – things that can’t be fully appreciated through a computer screen. Most importantly, it’s where we gather the creative energy and insight that shape the high-end, deeply personal spaces we design for our clients back home in Cleveland, OH, and Phoenix, AZ.

Every market is inspiring, but this year I really paid attention to how I felt in each space. Good design creates positive emotion. A well-designed room can lift your mood – it’s a powerful gift we get to give our clients.

Showrooms That Stir the Soul

Walking showroom to showroom at High Point Furniture Market is an emotional experience. Some spaces instantly felt like home: calming, intentional, and effortlessly curated. The best showrooms moved us – and that’s exactly the kind of reaction we aim to create in our clients’ homes, new builds, and hospitality spaces. Our job is to understand what sparks those feelings for each person and build environments that support them emotionally, functionally, and aesthetically.

We were especially inspired by:

  • The Baker and Century Showrooms: Traditional elegance reimagined in lighter tones and organic finishes. Think white oak chests and bleached wood sideboards – classic silhouettes made fresh again.

  • Lee Industries & Gabby Home: Comfortable and stylish recliners that even design lovers can get behind. (Yes, really – Kristen tested them herself, and they passed with flying colors!)

  • Applied Details in Upholstery: From bullion fringe on skirted sofas to ruffled edges and framed pillow backs, traditional detailing is having a moment.

  • Color Trends: While earthy blues and neutrals still reign, vibrant greens and layered artwork added personality and depth. One thing’s for sure: gray is taking a back seat.

  • Organic Materials: Woven jute, natural fibers, and textured woods continue to shine. We saw these materials used in everything from outdoor furniture at the Dedon collection overview to indoor accent chairs and tables.

  • Fresh Florals & Styling: Century and Four Hands wowed with beautiful staging and accessory pairings – offering endless ideas for styling and finishing touches.

The Value for Ducy Design Clients

While High Point Market is undoubtedly inspiring, it’s also a vital professional development tool. The design world is constantly evolving, and staying at the forefront is key to delivering timeless, tailored interiors that reflect our clients’ lives and aspirations.

As full-service interior designers, we enjoy exclusive access to vendors and artisans who don’t sell to the general public. This means we can source one-of-a-kind furnishings, in-line fabrics, and custom textiles that elevate a client’s space well beyond what’s available at retail stores. Some pieces showcased at the market won’t be available to the public for six months or more, but we’re already planning how to use them in upcoming projects.
